TPU (Thermoplastic polyurethanes)
The most advantage of TPU material is that it has good flexibility and can be broken easily. Therefore, the mobile phone case of this material has good cushioning properties, can effectively prevent falling, and is easy to install and remove. In addition, the TPU material can use micro-brushing technology to effectively prevent fingerprints and ensure the cleanliness of the phone.
TPU is a material between rubber and plastic. It is oil, water and mildew resistant. TPU products have excellent load-carrying capacity, impact resistance and shock absorption properties. TPU case is made by an injection molding process. After the plastic grains are heated and melted, they are poured into plastic molds to make the product.
Since the soft TPU may easily deformed, factory will put a foam inside the phone case to fix the soft case shape.
Advantages: Highly abrasion resistance, high strength, excellent cold resistance, oil resistance, water resistance, mildew resistance and good flexibility.
Disadvantages: easily deformed and yellowed.
PC (Polycarbonate)
The PC material is hard, and the pure PC plastic has various colors such as pure transparent, transparent black, transparent blue, etc. Due to the hardness, the PC case is good in terms of wear resistance and scratch resistance.
Many client will use PC phone case to proceed further craft, such as water transfer, UV print, electroplating, leather case, epoxy.
Most blank leather phone case is also made of PC material, the color is usually black, leather factories will order this case and then add leather by themselves.
Advantages: high transparency, strong hardness, anti-drop, light and thin
Disadvantages: not scratch-resistant, easy to become brittle when the temperature is low.
